In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed the sea
And he told us of his lives
In the land of submarines
So we sail up to the sun
Till we found the sea of green

Протрезвеет утренней прохладой
сажа полуночного костра.
Осень, осень –
талым шоколадом
солнце,
прелый воздух в снах-корзинах,
дождь дробится оземь,
проседь горизонта,
лихорадка
и туман в крови.
На ботинки прыгнет листопадом
желтый вальс,
озябший дух огня.
Небо коррозийной маской сшито,
по следам-слезам
слепым лучом веди
октября развод бездонно-лунный,
что на окнах влажных,
где всегда,
пульс застенчив,
взгляд тускней земли,
красноречьем дышат ветра крики,
и любовь – воды...

Flood-tide below me! I see you face to face!
Clouds of the west – sun there half of hour high –
I see you also face to face.

Crowds of men and women attired in the usual costumes, how curious you are to me!
On the ferry-boats the hundreds and hundreds that cross , returning home,, are more curious to me than you suppose,
And you that shell cross from shore to shore years hence are more to me, and more in my meditations, that you might suppose.

The impalpable sustenance of me from...

The wind is in high frolic with the rain.
Outside the garden a little yellow leaf
Clinging desperately to its mother branch

I pick up the leaf
And put it in the book,
Giving it a home.
